SvaroopaŽ Yoga is not an excercise but a dramatically different approach to a scientific and therapeutic style of Ghata Yoga originated by Ms. Rama Berch.

It is so slow and gentle, it can be done by anyone.

Most of the poses are done lying or sitting down on the floor, while using blankets for support and cushion.

During class, we focus on "releasing" tight muscles from around the bones instead of "stretching" them, resulting in a more
reliable and lasting effect!

In SvaroopaŽ Yoga, we believe that this tightness of the muscles originates at the tailbone in the body.
Therefore we begin by emphasizing the release of the muscles wrapped around the tailbone and graduate up the spine towards the neck and head.
As the release of the muscles progresses up the spine, we most immediately notice a sustained pain relief in the lower back.
The benefits continue  down the hips and legs, and up the reproductive and digestive areas, the ribcage, chest, shoulders, neck, head, face, and radiate throughout the entire body!

SvaroopaŽ Yoga also promotes healing and personal transformation of the mind, beyond expensive psychological therapy.
As the body and mind release themselves from years of tension, an inevitable rejuvenation process occurs!
We once again become the person we were meant to be, without all the baggage accumulated along the way.

Although SvaroopaŽ is not an excercise, you will strangely notice that your body is changing shape.  Both sides becoming even as the muscles plump and fluff away from the bones, giving your face and body a more youthful appearance!

You will also slowly alter any bad habits you may have developed, as your body and mind will start rejecting that which is unecessary, useless and harmful to you.

You will become happier with yourself and the world.  You will not want to change a thing, but instead you will find yourself living better with the decisions that you've already made....
